NewWeb is a sole proprietorship run by Owen Doucette in Canada. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to info@newweb.design.
What we collect
Public business information. To decide whether to offer a free sample, we look at information businesses publish themselves: website, Google Maps listing, public email address, phone or WhatsApp number, photos and descriptions. We record where and when we found a contact address.
What you send us. If you email or message us, we keep your name, contact details and the content of your messages so we can reply and do the work you ask for.
Website visits. This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security.
How we use it
- To build a private sample of your website and send it to you.
- To reply to your messages and provide the service you agreed to.
- To send invoices and keep the records the law requires, if you become a paying client.
We don't sell or rent your information. We don't add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Emails from us
Every email we send includes our name, a way to contact us and a way to unsubscribe. If you reply "unsubscribe" or use the unsubscribe link, we stop emailing you.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run NewWeb, such as website hosting, email, domain and payment services, and AI tools that help build and maintain sites. They only receive what they need to do their part, and some of them may store data outside your country, including in Canada and the United States.
Sample sites
Free samples are private previews, marked so search engines don't list them. If you decline a sample or ask us to, we delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep prospect notes for up to 12 months, then delete them if we haven't worked together. We keep client records for as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email info@newweb.design and we'll respond within 30 days.
